GARUDA’S  NEW  BOARD  FACES  TOUGH TASK

Cabinet minister of BUMN Sugiharto said that Garuda’s new board will faces daunting task. He said, “This made management changes to strengthen Garuda because Garuda called the weakest airlines in Asia”(on Monday after inaugurating the new council). Sugiharto hope the new management can improve quality of Garuda’s airlines and boast our state.

Satar Emirsyah appointed by the president director of Garuda to replace Indra Setiawan. Sugiharto said that new jobs Garuda management will not be easy because Garuda still has a debt amounting to US $ 845.000.000. In addition, Garuda must avoid debt because it will be bad and increasingly weakened Garuda’s airlines.

Respond to request Sugiharto, Emirsyah  said that the new management will try to improve Garuda operating net income of Rp 500 billion ($ 54 juta). In  2004, revenue is estimated around Rp. 10 trillion (20% increase from Rp. 8,3 trillion in 2003). This increase is because the number of passenger increased by about  7-8 million.

Emirsyah said that new management must work hard for Garuda’s debt paid off immediately. The new management must have incomes about $ 115 million until 2010. Emirsyah made a Garuda’s letter who was instrumental in restructuring the airline : developments in more than $ 1,1 billion in 2001, from July 1999 until May 2003.

Emirsyah explained that the new management will repair the condition of garuda’s financial with the solution is evaluation the route and never compete with the cheap operator.

YES OR NO

Pai (Aom Sucharat Manaying) yang tinggal di asrama khusus cewek dekat kampus memilih pindah kamar karena teman satu roommatenya yang bernama Jane (Arisara Thongborisut) dan kebetulan lesbian selalu ribut dengan pacarnya. Setelah pindah, bukannya tenang, Pai malah sekamar dengan Kim (Suppanad Jittaleela) seorang lesbian yang condong kearah cowok. Merasa makin nggak nyaman, Pai meminta pindah kamar lagi. Tapi rupanya dia tak beruntung karena guru pengawas nggak mengizinkan Pai pindah. Akhirnya, Pai pun terpaksa tinggal dengan Kim dengan banyak peraturan seperti nggak boleh terlalu berisik, bahkan membuat batas garis wilayah dikamar mereka.

Seperti kata pepatah, cinta datang karena terbiasa. Dan itu pulalah yang berlaku pada Pai. Lambat laun sifat juteknya hilang, dia terkesan dengan segala perhatian Kim. Bahkan cemburu saat Jane terang-terangan mendekati cewek tomboy itu. Lalu bagaimanakah rasa yang tumbuh dihati Pai? Mengingat Kim bukan cowok meski perangainya bak seorang cowok. Terlebih sudah ada Van (Sorranat Yupanant), pria yang selalu menanti cinta Pai.

Film yang diangkat berdasarkan buku “Yes Rak Nee Chai Leay & No Kor Wo Jai Mai Rak” karya Lalanon ini klise sebenarnya. Tapi beruntung, lewat tangan dingin Nepali, sang penulis skenario, mampu membuat sesuatu yang klise terlihat lebih menarik dengan dimasukan unsur komedi situasi yang berhasil dimainkan beberapa karakter penudukung. Nggak cuma itu, duet Ruengwit Ramasoota dibagian D.O.P dengan sang sutrdara, Sarasawadee Wongsompetch, mampu membuat Yes Or No terlihat cantik dan enak dipandang oleh mata.

Selain segi visualisasi yang cantik, para pemerannya juga cantik-cantik dan bermain sesuai porsi. Terutama yang berperan sebagai Pai. Sometime, dia terlihat seperti Song Hye Kyo. Tapi kadang juga terlihat seperti Acha Septriasa. Haha... intinya betah banget deh nonton film ini terlepas dari tema yang nggak lazim. Apalagi melihat dari segi ending yang sangat wow, untuk ukuran film tentang hubungan sesama jenis. Masih banyak kekurangan disana-sini sih sebenarnya. Tapi sebagai alternatif hiburan belaka, bolehlah... plus asupan pesan yang tersirat, just be your self. That’s cliche rite!

Story Summary :

            Raka, an orphan who was also a high school student first grade can never accept the death of his father. He didn’t go to his father’s grave. His father, who promised to keep him and his mother, was just leaving as his father addicted with smoke.

            Raka’s life as a student in school is never separated from fights. He is more frequently used muscle than brains to solve the problems. Until one day, he get punishment from his teacher to join the organization in the school. In there, he met three students with different characters. Nathan, a genius who was always being sarcastic. Nadya, the leader of his class who never asked for help from others. And Sarah, shamed girl who always made Raka helping her. They was forced to work together to made a Mading.

            Raka felt disturbing with the attitude of his friends. But he like to solve all problems of his friends and made them closely each other. Start from Sarah, he often helped this girl until Sarah started to fell in love with him. However, Raka have some feel to Nadya because they have similarities including the type of film and the like the same music. In the other situation, Raka always care about Nathan, although he was don’t care. Until at last, Raka knew Nathan’s disease. He had cancer. So Raka must be ready to lost his lovely person in his life for second time.

“Don’t hate me. Day passed day, I was dead, but you‘re still alive. Really, it’s ok to me if one day you forget me. I will remember you, it’s more than enough to me.”

            I love this book because the author make the story seemed real. The option of words can retouch the readers. This novel tell us that in fact, life never be separated from the lost. But editor are less carefully so that there are some words that miss typed.

Hingga suatu saat dia dihadapkan pada sebuah hukuman untuk menjadi staff organisasi pers di sekolahnya dan di situlah ia dipertemukan  dengan orang-orang dengan karakter yang berbeda. Nathan, seorang jenius yang selalu bersikap sinis. Nadya, ketua kelas yang tak pernah minta bantuan orang lain. Dan Sarah, cewek pemalu yang selau membuat Raka ingin membantunya. Mereka terpaksa bersama untuk mengurus mading di sekolah.

            Raka merasa tidak cocok dengan sikap teman-temannya itu. Namun dengan sikapnya yang suka “mencampuri” urusan orang justru membuatnya masuk ke dalam kehidupan teman-temannya itu lebih jauh. Ia yang sering menolong si cewek pemalu, Sarah, membuat Sarah jatuh cinta kepada Raka. Namun Raka telah jatuh cinta kepada Nadya karena mereka memiliki banyak persamaan diantaranya mereka menyukai jenis film dan musik yang sama. Tak hanya itu, Raka juga jatuh lebih dalam di kehidupan Nathan. Hingga pada akhirnya ia tahu bahwa Nathan mengidap kanker otak yang membuat Raka harus siap untuk menghadapi kehilangan untuk kedua kalinya.

Jangan membeciku. Waktu terus berjalan, aku sudah mati, tapi kamu masih hidup. Tak perlu terikat masa lalu. Sungguh, nggak apa-apa bagiku kalau kelak kamu melupakanku. Biar aku saja yang mengingatmu, itu sudah lebih dari cukup bagiku.

Kelebihan buku :

Penulis benar-benar membuat cerita yang disesuaikan dengan kehidupan remaja masa kini. Alur ceritanya ringan tetapi bisa membuat pembaca begitu menghayati cerita. Penulis juga menggunakan kata-kata yang begitu menyentuh hati pembaca. Novel ini juga syarat makna, memberi pelajaran bahwa kehidupan tidak akan pernah lepas dari yang namanya kehilangan.

Kekurangan buku :

Buku ini hampir tidak memiliki kekurangan. Namun editor kurang hati-hati sehingga ada beberapa kata yang misstyped.
